Returns Policy


We understand things don’t always go right. That’s no problem – simply read our Returns Policy information and Terms and Conditions below and confirm your return satisfies the Return Conditions.

Print and fill out the Returns Form and send it with your items back to Fashion Backroom.

AUSTRALIAN RETURN CONDITIONS

Clothing must be returned in its original, clean condition with tags: unworn, unwashed, unperfumed, and free from make-up and fake tan.

Returns will result in a store credit to your Fashion Backroom account, which you may use to purchase future products from us. Returns will be issued in the form of unique, single use code for you to apply to your next purchase.
Store credits are valid for one year from date of issue.
We will email you when your store credit has been applied.
We do not hold items for exchange while your return item is being returned.

We do not offer refunds for change of mind purchases. All sales are final once transaction has occurred. Orders are unable to be manually adjusted once transaction has occurred.

Returns must be received within 14 calendar days of purchase. Any Return Items received with a mail dispatch date later than 14 days after the date of purchase will not be accepted.

Postage fees must be covered by the customer to send Returns Items to Fashion Backroom at all times.

ALL SALE ITEMS ARE FINAL – NO EXCHANGE, REFUND OR RETURN ON SALE ITEMS.
An Item is defined as on sale when it is NOT purchased at full price. This can occur through a clearance, or sale. Items purchased with a discount or promo code are eligible to be returned.

Returned Items which do not satisfy the above Returns Policy will not be accepted nor will a credit be issued.

It is recommended that you use a traceable delivery method for all returns to ensure your delivery is safely returned to us.

Fashion Backroom is not responsible for any loss or damage to parcels returned to us.

INTERNATIONAL RETURN CONDITIONS

Postage fees must be covered by the customer to send Returns Items to Fashion Backroom at all times.

Returns must be returned to the store within 30 days of purchase for International orders.

Returned Items which do not satisfy the above Returns Policy will not be accepted nor will a credit be issued.

How do I return my item?

Read our Returns Policy information below and confirm your return satisfies the Return Conditions, then:
1. Ensure your return is in its original condition, with tags, unworn, unwashed, unperfumed, free from makeup and fake tan. Fashion Backroom will not accept worn or soiled returns.
2. Fill out the Return Form, and include it with your Returning Item and the original garment bag. Items returned without a Return Form will not be processed.
3. Post to the address supplied on the Returns Form .

What happens to my Returned Item?

Fashion Backroom will check it complies with the Returns Conditions including that it is in its original condition, with tags, unworn, unwashed, unperfumed, free from makeup and fake tan.
We will email you to confirm the Returns Conditions have been satisfied or not, then we will update your account with the amount the item was purchased for (excluding any postage costs). Please allow 2 business days for this to occur.

When will I receive my store credit?

Provided your Return Item meets the Returns Conditions, Fashion Backroom will apply the credit to your account within 2 business days after your item is received and checked by our team for compliance with Returns Conditions.

Changed your mind?

We understand you may not have gotten your purchase quite right… We offer a store credit for full priced items returned.
You can then use this credit to purchase a new item.
Returns must be returned to the store within 14 days of purchase for Australian orders, or 30 days for international orders.
Credit notes are valid for one year from date of issue, and can be used on any item in store.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are only offered for manufacturing faults. However if you have a change of mind or want to change sizes we offer store credits, which are valid for a whole year.

My item has a manufacturing fault.

Sometimes things go wrong. If we agree that your Return Item has a manufacturing fault (such as a broken zip, missing button) or an incorrect item has been sent to you, you are entitled to a full refund.
Please contact info@fashionbackroom.com.au if this has occurred with details and pictures of the fault.

I want to Return an Item purchased with a discount code/it was on sale.

ALL SALE ITEMS ARE FINAL – NO EXCHANGE, REFUND OR RETURN ON SALE ITEMS.
An Item is defined as on sale when it is NOT purchased at full price. This can occur through a clearance, or sale. Items purchased with a discount or promo code are eligible to be returned.

If your item was purchased on sale, there is no exchange, refund or return, unless we agree the item has a manufacturing fault.

Pre-orders

Any pre-order or order cancellations will result in a store credit valid for one year. We do not refund for change of mind on pre-orders or orders, which have not been dispatched.

Can I drop off my Return Item in person?

Fashion Backroom only accepts Returned Items via post.

Note: Fashion Backroom reserves the right to amend the Return Conditions and Return Policy. It is the customers responsibility to read and understand the Terms and Conditions and Return Policy prior to purchase.
